A unified, centrally governed network of online stores for STIHL partners in Greece and Cyprus, where content, products, campaigns, and commercial policies are managed from a single control point through automated workflows. The day-to-day operation of the eShops does not require continuous human intervention, neither from STIHL nor from the partners.
The project is designed to balance central strategic direction with local commercial autonomy, providing each partner with a distinct digital profile, flexibility in defining prices and price lists, and the ability to run independent promotional activities, while consistently leveraging the strength of the STIHL brand to enhance partners’ market presence with minimal operational effort.
The creation of a modern, well-structured network of online stores that operates efficiently at scale, strengthens the brand, and enhances each partner’s credibility, while preserving their operational autonomy. A solution designed to grow alongside the business, support new markets and partners, and deliver a consistent experience across every touchpoint in the network. A shared foundation and common standards for everyone, with the flexibility for local adaptation where needed.
In a large dealer network, day-to-day consistency doesn’t always come naturally. Manual updates, different systems, and the small discrepancies that crop up throughout the day can lead to delays, inaccuracies in pricing or availability, and additional workload for the teams. And as the network grows, staying truly aligned becomes increasingly demanding.
Qorect has implemented a central B2B e-commerce platform under the supervision of STIHL Greece & Cyprus, serving as a single source of truth for the entire dealer network. Through daily automated synchronisation, it keeps partner e-shops up to date with products, images, descriptions, stock levels, and the applicable tax rules per country minimising manual processes and ensuring consistent, reliable updates.
The vision of the project is to create a unified, modern, and automated eCommerce ecosystem that strengthens the STIHL brand while meaningfully supporting its partner network. The project is designed to serve as a stable and repeatable digital model, capable of being deployed across multiple markets while maintaining a consistent strategic direction and a high level of brand coherence. A core objective is the central management of content, products, and commercial policies from a single point, enabled by automated workflows that significantly reduce the need for human intervention. This approach allows both STIHL and its partners to move away from day-to-day technical administration and focus on commercial growth. At the same time, the project aims to preserve the local identity and commercial autonomy of each partner, providing the tools required to shape their own digital presence, pricing strategies, and promotional activities within a unified and strong brand framework. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance STIHL’s overall digital presence, increase the competitiveness of partners at a local level, and establish a resilient foundation for long-term, international growth.

The eCommerce ecosystem is built around a central management structure, from which STIHL defines and maintains content, products, campaigns, and core commercial policies. This central operation is implemented using Plano eCommerce Ultimate, which powers the STIHL B2B eShop and serves as the single point of reference for managing the entire network. All updates are automatically distributed to partner eShops through automated workflows, without the need for manual intervention or day-to-day operational effort. Each partner operates within this shared framework through their own dedicated eShop, implemented using Plano eCommerce Advanced, which preserves a clear local identity and distinct digital profile. At the same time, partners retain the flexibility to define their own pricing, price lists, and promotional activities, while fully leveraging the central infrastructure and the strength of the STIHL brand. The system architecture is designed to operate reliably and consistently on a daily basis, with minimal operational requirements for both STIHL and its partners, allowing all parties to focus on commercial growth rather than technology management.
The project delivers a fully integrated eCommerce ecosystem that combines central control with local flexibility, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the partner network. By automating core operational processes, it significantly reduces complexity and ongoing management effort, allowing the platform to operate reliably on a day-to-day basis. For STIHL, it provides a single, structured framework for managing digital commerce, brand presence, and commercial policies across multiple markets, while maintaining full visibility and strategic oversight. This centralized approach supports faster rollout, easier governance, and long-term digital sustainability. For partners, it delivers a ready-to-use digital sales channel that strengthens their local market presence without requiring technical expertise or continuous operational involvement. Each partner benefits from a clear digital identity, commercial autonomy, and the ability to actively promote products, all within a strong and consistent brand environment. Overall, the solution transforms the STIHL brand into a practical commercial advantage for the partner network, creating measurable value through efficiency, consistency, and scalable growth.

The project provides STIHL with a unified and centrally governed digital commerce framework that ensures brand consistency, full control over commercial strategy, and a coherent digital presence across all markets. Through the automation of core operational processes, it significantly reduces operational complexity and administrative overhead, enabling faster deployment, simplified governance, and efficient support of the international partner network. At the same time, the project establishes a stable and scalable digital foundation on which STIHL can expand into new markets, channels, and services, while maintaining full visibility and strategic control.
For partners, the solution translates into a complete, ready-to-use digital commerce platform that strengthens their local market presence without requiring technical expertise or day-to-day eShop management. The operation and content updates of the online store are handled automatically, with immediate availability of new products, images, campaigns, promotional pricing policies, and price lists, ensuring that each eShop remains continuously up to date and commercially active. In addition, partners can choose from multiple available templates the eShop layout that best reflects their own image and local identity. They retain control over their commercial policies and can execute their own promotional activities, while fully leveraging the strength and credibility of the STIHL brand. The result is increased commercial momentum, stronger engagement with end customers, and more time to focus on growing the business.

One of the most significant challenges in large dealer networks is the daily, reliable, and timely update of eShops across products, categories, images, stock levels, pricing, availability, campaigns, and price lists, without inconsistencies or delays. Within the Plano platform, all of the above are managed through an internal administration mechanism that directly updates the assigned entities, without the use of XML or other external integration tools, significantly reducing the risk of errors introduced by external factors. At the same time, challenges related to theming and duplicated content are addressed through the availability of multiple templates provided to STIHL dealers. These templates are built using flexible content blocks, allowing each partner to differentiate page structure and content by adjusting block order and configuration, ensuring a unique digital presence for each eShop. From an SEO perspective, Plano includes a built-in mechanism that automatically applies foundational SEO optimization during the creation of each eShop, covering products, categories, content blocks, and full pages. As a result, each eShop launches with a strong baseline SEO performance from day one. In addition, the platform supports the use of external AI-based tools for the creation and enrichment of SEO content, further enhancing overall digital visibility and performance.
Plano eCommerce provides a comprehensive data synchronization mechanism across corporate entities, designed for organizations with centralized management and multi-tier dealer networks. The platform supports data intake via XML, API, Excel, and CSV, consolidating all inputs into a single, reliable data foundation for products, categories, and core commercial content. Synchronization across the partner network is handled internally through the Plano eCommerce mechanisms, without the need for additional external integrations. This approach ensures a unified data structure, consistent and timely updates across all eShops, and a significant reduction in complexity and errors typically associated with multiple disconnected systems. As a product capability, the synchronization mechanism delivers consistency, extended control, and high reliability at every level of the network, ensuring that all corporate and commercial entities operate on shared, governed data, with minimal operational overhead.

Plano eCommerce operates within a structured and clearly defined operating framework that establishes roles and responsibilities across central management, partners, and the platform. This framework ensures consistency, transparency, and operational alignment across the entire network. Central management retains full control over strategic direction, brand governance, core commercial content, and centralized policies through a unified management environment, ensuring coordinated execution across all markets. Partners operate within this framework with local commercial autonomy, managing their digital presence, pricing, price lists, and promotional activities without involvement in technical or platform administration. The platform automates workflows, governs data synchronization, and enforces defined rules, providing a stable, scalable foundation that connects all entities while minimizing operational overhead.
The Plano eCommerce environment for STIHL is designed to ensure brand consistency across the entire network, while simultaneously supporting local differentiation for each partner. The shared operating framework establishes a unified visual identity, structure, and experience, regardless of market or partner. At the same time, each partner retains the ability to express its own local commercial identity through configurable templates, differentiated content, and selected promotional activities. This approach enables meaningful local presence without compromising the overall brand image and authority. The result is a balanced model in which the strength of the brand remains unified and recognizable, while local markets are addressed with flexibility and commercial precision, creating tangible value for both central management and partners.

Plano eCommerce is designed to significantly improve operational efficiency across the entire network by minimizing manual processes and reducing day-to-day administrative effort. Through centralized control and automated workflows, routine operational tasks are handled at platform level, eliminating the need for repetitive actions across individual eShops. For central management, this results in lower operational overhead, fewer support dependencies, and simplified coordination across markets and partners. Updates to products, content, campaigns, and commercial policies are executed once and applied consistently across the network, reducing both time requirements and the risk of operational errors. For partners, operational complexity is substantially reduced. The platform removes the need for technical maintenance, ongoing content updates, and system administration, allowing partners to operate an up-to-date and fully functional eShop with minimal effort. This translates directly into lower operational costs and improved focus on commercial activity. Overall, the platform delivers a scalable operating model that reduces cost, increases efficiency, and supports sustainable growth, while maintaining full control and reliability across the ecosystem.
Plano eCommerce is operated and supported by QORECT, which runs on ISO-certified infrastructures, audited by TÜV AUSTRIA. QORECT maintains certified installations in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for information security management, ISO 22301:2019 for business continuity management, and ISO/IEC 27017:2015 for cloud security controls. These certifications confirm that the infrastructure, processes, and operational practices supporting Plano eCommerce meet internationally recognized standards for security, availability, resilience, and controlled cloud operations. As a result, the platform provides a secure, reliable, and compliant foundation for enterprise-scale digital commerce environments.

Plano eCommerce is designed from the ground up as a scalable and repeatable model, capable of supporting operations across multiple countries and markets. Its architecture enables the seamless addition of new corporate entities, markets, and partners without the need for redesign or complex technical adjustments. Centralized management combined with local flexibility allows adaptation to different commercial, regulatory, and operational environments, while maintaining unified strategy and control. The same model can be consistently deployed in new countries, reducing implementation time and operational risk. As a result, Plano eCommerce serves as a stable foundation for international growth, supporting long-term expansion strategies while ensuring consistency, control, and sustainability across all markets.
As part of STIHL's e-commerce project, a solution was implemented using three different templates, which are applied to the websites of dealers in the network. This approach ensures that the same structure and content are not used on all sites, avoiding duplicate content issues with search engines.
Each template has a different structure and content presentation, allowing Google to recognize dealer websites as separate and independent entities. This ensures proper SEO performance for the network and organic visibility for each online store.
Each country can operate a tailored product assortment, aligned with local compliance requirements and commercial strategy.
Partners can run seasonal and culturally relevant promotions, aligned with local events and peak demand periods.
We provide a modular, configurable template that enables STIHL dealers to launch branded websites quickly and consistently.
Each dealer can add localized content (logo, contact details, promotions) while staying within the STIHL design framework.
A central brand identity is maintained through a style guide, while local design elements are allowed to strengthen regional resonance.
Each website can be adapted to local e-commerce rules (returns, consumer protection, etc.), ensuring every rollout is market-ready.
GDPR-aligned privacy tools are included by default, with the ability to adapt to additional data-privacy frameworks per region.
Multi-region cloud hosting is supported for speed and availability, ensuring consistent user experience across geographies.
Localized SEO and CMS tools empower each market to improve organic visibility and manage content consistently.
Structured onboarding and training programs (virtual, in English) are provided, supported by ongoing technical and operational assistance.
The solution is compatible with global payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe) and supports custom integrations for regional providers where required.
Online click-and-collect functionality or optionally, kiosk mode can be enabled for interactive product exploration and customer education via guides/videos, alongside click-and-collect functionality.
Dealer sites can include buying guides, product wizard quizzes, quickbuy and promo highlights, social sharing, and upselling tools—adapted to local audiences.
Each dealer has control over order processing, inventory, pricing, and customer interactions via a user-friendly back office—without daily central intervention.
The central infrastructure ensures real-time synchronization of product listings, pricing/availability, and category structures, reducing manual work and errors.
The platform supports multilingual and multi-currency environments so customers can browse in their language and pay in the local currency.
Integrations with Meta (feeds) and Google Shopping are supported, enabling central management of orders and inventory across multiple channels.
A central dashboard provides order tracking, inventory management, and invoicing across channels, with real-time updates that prevent overselling.
The network supports extensive product catalogs with features, blog pages, and promotional areas—making the experience informative and commercially effective.
All e-shops are optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop, ensuring a consistent and high-performing shopping experience.
The core runs on QORECT’s proprietary PLANO cloud platform, built on a RESTful API architecture for high interoperability and straightforward integration with third-party systems (marketplaces, payment gateways, and more).
A RESTful, stateless model enables horizontal scaling and load balancing, while caching mechanisms improve response times and reduce server load.
Depending on project goals, we can apply CSR, SSR, and hydration strategies—especially for content-rich, SEO-critical experiences.
QORECT prioritizes security, resilience, and operational continuity, supported by TÜV Austria certifications for ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security), ISO/IEC 27018 (Data Privacy), and ISO/IEC 22301 (Business Continuity).
Implementation is structured into agreed phases (MVP → enhancements), with clear governance (shop ownership, who defines assortment/pricing/promotions, and go-live approvals), ensuring role clarity in international rollouts.
The solution runs on the PLANO platform, while ownership of data/content and project-specific deliverables (configurations, documentation, agreed integrations) is defined contractually to match each market’s operating model.
We provide ongoing technical and operational support, with SLA and maintenance levels tailored per market, number of e-shops, and integration criticality.
The infrastructure supports multi-region cloud hosting for optimal performance and availability, and enables adding new partners/countries without restarting the project.
Delivery follows clear stages (analysis → implementation → UAT → go-live) with structured change management. Where required, quality assurance and documentation practices are included to ensure safe long-term evolution.
